Description: Future roadways as described in the City of Meridian Comprehensive Plan are used by City Staff to preserve connectivity opportunities with developlment and redevelopment within the City. Some roadways may be new and others may be missing segments. This data is generally conceptual and not parcel specific unless outlined in a supporting study or plan.

Description: The Street Centerline dataset represents the key streets of Ada County, with associated address ranges. It does not show low-grade dirt roads in the deserts and foothills. It includes, for emergency dispatch purposes, some roads in Boise and Elmore Counties. This dataset was developed by many parties over many years. Credit should go to Geographic General (now Power Engineers), Spatial Dynamics, Ada Planning Association (now COMPASS), Ada County Sheriff's Office Emergency Dispatch, and Ada County GIS.
Description: The Master Street Map is part of ACHD's Transportation and Land Use Integration Plan. This layer group consists of several layers that should be viewed togethor. This map provides a clear picture of ACHD's long-range roadway widening improvements, and is critical for understanding growth potential and right-of-way impacts. All development proposals should be examined for impacts by and from existing and future arterial and collector roadways.
Description: The Master Street Map is part of ACHD's Transportation and Land Use Integration Plan. This data layer represents locations of possible roundabouts. ACHD may determine that a roundabout may not be developed in this location, but it is assumed a possibility. Note that roundabout are cheaper for ACHD to build, but has more potential right-of-way dedication impacts on neighbors.

Description: The Master Street Map is part of ACHD's Transportation and Land Use Integration Plan. This data layer represents arterial roadways, and the attribute table describes build out conditions for both existing and proposed roadways. Information in this layer does not necessarily describe phasing or improvements.

Description: The Master Street Map is part of ACHD's Transportation and Land Use Integration Plan. This data layer represents collector roadways, and the attribute table describes build out conditions for both existing and proposed roadways. Information in this layer does not necessarily describe phasing or improvements. Collectors are development driven, and not constructed by ACHD.

Description: "Arterial roadways that introduce both visitors and residents to the City of Meridian, as defined by the city's Comprehensive Plan." Changes to entryway corridors must be approved by the City Council.
Description: Official right-of-way map layer. ACHD is mandated by section 40 of Idaho Code to have a map prepared in published form "showing the general location of all public rights-of-way under our jurisdiction". The ACHD commission passed a resolution (#542) in 1998 requiring staff to update the paper map version twice a year, with the digital version being the officially adopted highway map. The paper version shows our open and unopened (maintained and unmaintained) rights-of-way, the digital version includes the type of right-of-way (platted, deeded, prescriptive, etc.), how and when we acquired it. The digital version also shows right-of-way that has been vacated. The paper version consists of 6 separate 32x78 inch panels that are laminated and mounted on foam board to create a seamless mosaic of most of northern Ada County. The map is updated mainly by data received twice a month from the Ada County Assessor, primarily in the form of new subdivisions and warranty deeds (new right-of-way adjacent to existing right-of-way, such as for road widenings). The Official Map is instrumental in helping to calculate the dollar amount of new right-of-way added each year, for GASB34 reporting purposes.
